WOOD ENGRAVING – “CHRISTMAS MORNING” drawn and signed by Henry Woods.  This engraving was published in 1870, and is in very good condition.  It measures 10 ¾” x 8 7/8”, and is matted to 16” x 20” for easy framing.

This cluster of fresh young faces is appropriately called “Christmas Morning” and represents a pair of happy little people overhauling their treasures with an interest that has communicated itself to two older members of the family.  Old Scrooge himself, before he had reformed and become a good-hearted fellow, could not have looked upon these four winsome faces without experiencing a thrill of sympathy with the season.
