This item is the February 12, 1870 issue of EVERY SATURDAY a weekly newspaper that was published in Boston by James Osgood and Company. It was similar to the New York newspapers Harper's Weekly, and Frank Leslie, all of which were highly illustrated with wood engravings. Every Saturday is a rare newspaper, because it had a much smaller circulation. Earlier Boston newspapers, Gleason's Pictorial, which later became Ballou's Pictorial, were also similar in content, in that they provided historical news of current events, and art and literature. This issue is in very good condition. The pages are very clean and bright. Additional pictures are available upon request. Please include your e-mail address.
